My dad, Max Sr. (a master diamond cutter) started cutting diamonds just after the second world war in 1946 when he began is apprenticeship, and at 82 years old is still actively involved in the diamond business. I was born and raised in the diamond and gold districts of South Africa, some of the leading sites in the world and have been actively involved in every aspect of the diamond industry (including owning and physically mining for diamonds).
